There are several reports from various media outlets saying that Bobby Brown showed up to Whitney Houston’s funeral but then left abruptly shortly after his arrival. Bobby Brown has released a statement regarding what happened this afternoon:
My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see m daughter Bobbi Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events. This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.

According to MediaTakeOut
MediaTakeOut.com jut got word that Bobby Brown DID NOT attend Whitney Houston’s funeral service. Why, you ask??
Well according to reports, Bobby was ANGRY that the family did not allow him to SPEAK during the service. We’re told that family members did not TRUST that Bobby would make an appropriate speech.

He was supposed to sit NEXT to his daughter Bobbi Kristina. She had an EMPTY SEAT next to her for the entire funeral.
Bobby is a disgrace!! We all pray that Bobbi Kris makes it through this difficult time.
EDITORS UPDATE: Police say Bobby showed up with 9 people, even though he was told ONLY to bring 2 people. When the family told him that they could NOT accommodate 9 people – Bobby LEFT the funeral.
According to TMZ
Whitney Houston’s funeral has only just begun … but Bobby Brown has already left the church.
Our camera guys outside the funeral spotted Bobby ever-so-briefly on his way in … and his SUVs returned a short time later, though Bobby cannot be seen leaving (see video below).
Rev. Al Sharpton tweeted just moments ago, saying, “I am at Whitney’s funeral. I spoke with Bobby Brown trying to calm him down and not distract from the services. Today is about Whitney!”

As TMZ first reported, after some opposition from some family members … Bobby was officially invited to the funeral today.
